clio sport 6 cd changer? alpine???

  Blk/Gold 182 FF
i'm sure i saw the word alpine on it when i was cleaning under the seats but i wernt sure lol if it is, does this mean it will work if i change the head unit to an alpine one????? has anyone changed the head unit and still been able to use there cd changer??

thanks :p

It is indeed an Alpine Cd Changer, i have fitted a Alpine Headunit in my 172 and was thinking about buying a lead to hook the Cd Changer up to it.

I went against this, as the h/unit has a direct I Pod Link. ;)

I Pod FTW, No Cds lying around.

No. If it is the factory cd changer then no i will NOT work with an aftermarket alpine headunit. It will have been manufactured by alpine but is absolutely nothing to do alpine that the retail knows. It will not talk to an alpine headunit and u wont be able to just plug a cable into it. It is just basically made by alpine for renault.

Yep as Dan R says its a propriotory interface which on the standard headunit runs theres a few companies that make the standard headunits they're either VDO dayton or alpines generally. The later VDO ones will play mp3s.
