Clio Sport Car Parc Sales Data

Ok I work for a car company pricing up car parts and I have just got new car parc data showing how many cars were registered with the DVLA. This data shows how many cars are still on the road that were bought in that year.

Thought some of you might be interested.

so only 235 Valvers registered as being on the road last year??

No that means that 235 valvers that were bought in 2004 were also taxed, it is not cumulative.

Also, Those valvers you are talking about are the 172s which were replaced by the 182 hence the low sales.

i see. would you say thats its a fair measure of roughly how many cars are on the road/ left in 1 peice?

Yes because it shows numbers of cars that were bought in each year and only then if they were taxed last year. So there may be a few knocking about untaxed I suppose.

I will try and add the 1.8 data this afternoon. As you might have realised there are a shed load of clio derivatives, so I was just trying to pick some quickly.

If the data comes from the DVLA I would be weary. There was a guy who posted on here the other week that his Mk2 172 was listed on the V5 as an "exclusive".


Were there really 34 registered in 2003 or is that an administration error like the example above?

OMG!

It shows of the cars bought in each year how many of them were taxed last year.

It does not show that only 10 valvers were taxed last year, it shows that of the valvers bought last year 10 were taxed.

The table shows the amount of cars on the road basically and the years in which they were bought.
