I hope she puts the electric on for hook ups this time, the last time we went she turned them all off and we couldn't even blow up our airbed 🤦🏼‍♀️

Did you see this line:

I don't know what's happening, or who she's having an affair with but this morning she brought me a cup of tea and said I should book the track day as she's going to the wedding with her mate and they can just dance (I am no dancer). So I'm f**king coming!!!! I am so excited!!!

See you there chaps, lots to fix on the handbag. Going to hire a trailer and camp this year I think. Missed out on lots of drinking fun last year because I was driving back to the hotel. Which does mean I have the potential to trailer back a southerners broken car if the worst happens.

@Sunglasses_Ron get those hugging arms shaved and ready for some quality time. When are tickets going on sale?
I'm gonna strap my AC unit to the bike

Our rooms had AC but we were in the plus rooms. Not sure about standard rooms.
Premier Plus room Ronald, sounds a bit Tory to me mate :ROFLMAO:

I would be in the hotel in a flash but I'm worried about car trailer being left on site seeing as I'm borrowing it. Just hoping hot water works and no one vomits in the showers before me.

I might be the most socially awkward person ever so god knows how I'm going to manage to talk to any of you, but I'll definitely be buying a camping ticket and hopefully some track time if the Clio doesn't let me down! Worst comes to worst, you'll all get to see my freshly rebuilt Saab explode on track 😬
We can have a cry w**k together mate, don't worry

You'll be fine mate. I speak for myself here too when I say that car club members generally occupy the majority of the spectrum. I went solo last year, first CSF ever and had an absolutely brilliant time. Full of great people, cool cars and track was awesome.

if anyone is worried about social awkwardness and using it as a barrier to deciding to come or not. Please don’t worry. Genuinely drop me a PM I’m happy to support in anyway I can. I knew no one really last year and had a fabulous time. Please don’t panic, you will not be on your own all weekend.

Frankly nobody can be more socially awkward than me. No excuses.

Mind you CSF is more expensive than you’d expect as I’ve had to book a trip to butlins as ‘offset’

I went by myself last year, safe in the knowledge that CSF is an annual meet for those on the spectrum, so i certainly wasnt going to offend anyone by having a lack of social skills :ROFLMAO: In addition, my M3 wasnt finished in time, so i did my tracktime in a diesel mini. Needless to say, i spent a lot of time lapping by myself, fearful of the very long drive home if i had no brakes left.

It's a while since I drove the circuit but I'm sure it'll soon come back to me.

Alas, I sold the circuit car so as it stands I'll be rocking up in my immaculate bog standard RB.

I'll do my best to stay out of the way of the quicker cars, but apologies in advance if I hold you up for the odd corner.

I don't fancy getting a 230-mile taxi back home, so I'll be taking it easy....ish 💪:ROFLMAO::devilish:

When they told me it came with a twin and a TV I didn’t realise I’d be sharing with Reggie Kray and Danny LaRue.

I just drove home from Llandudno yesterday, 500miles /9hrs 😂 it's doable in the clio but not sure it's just to far away

I’m hoping to get both x98 cup racers there this year to do hot laps to raise funds for the chosen charity again.

Just wondering what folk would consider to be a fair price/contribution? And roughly how many would take up the chance to get flung around in the passenger seat.

Onboard videos can be provided on the day or sent out to folk after the event.

Spec wise - 250bhp, just shy of a tonne in weight with sadev sequential boxes. Proper little bits of kit.

Would have thought something like £20 for 10-15 mins would be a price people would be happy to pay? I'm sure you could charge more and have fewer takers but much less you would be getting near to at cost?

@Sunglasses_Ron, apologies if I have missed it. Is there any tuition available on the day do you think? Track looks fairly fast and I think a few tutor sessions would help me a lot.

£30 sounds like a good price to me, always a good opportunity to be taken out in these with race drivers!

Its in my diary but im just trying to wrap my head around financials currently.

Got a looooot on. House purchase is looming, various holidays, a TD in August already....oh, and the 140 needs a grand in parts before the next TD....

Im trying!
Try harder :ROFLMAO: - good man, sounds like a solid yes to me. Can always buy @Cookie's tickets when his motorbike has a flat battery that morning.

Its a yes from me!
Think we are going to go up as a family for a few days, then ill come and do the track day/drink/camp on the Saturday night.
Its 300 miles/5 hours each way from Alton :ROFLMAO:
If Emily wasn't at this wedding I would be doing the same! The journey is quite a bit more than I was originally thinking! Not sure which is worse, doing it with trailer at 60mph the whole way but comfortable or doing it in the Mini and arriving with a broken back.

Forget where @Panda. lives, seem to remember him being further that way than us. Can you remember the user name of Tom with the Caterham?

Cheers lads, that's the kind of input I was after.
If we can get 30+ people interested at that price then we should be able to make it happen, even if it's with just the one car.
Worth noting, we don't take any of the monies, it all goes to the charity and costs us a fair bit to run the cars for the day but we enjoy doing it to help out.

I am in Notts, about 3hrs for me…. Tempting!
