Hi as title says I've got a clio 172 and I'm having trouble with the rear suspension I'll try and describe best I can, hope someone can help or point me in the right direction!!

Anyhow when cornering the rear wheels feel like they're not connected to the car, they feel as though when I hit a bump or anything in the road that they scatter accross the road side to side the cars lost all sharpness these cars should have I'm thinking along the lines of rear shockers or then a damaged axle? I'm really stumped it's doing my head in!! It doesn't so much kick the back end out but if I'm going into a bend and a back wheels clips a cats eye in the road that it starts to skip accross the road?

Really hard to describe!!!
Help :(

Also seems to have a hell of a lot of rear body roll it's all over through the bends i bought it because there a good handling car? This is scary in bends if your slightly to quick it lists scatters all over

Just a guess I'm hoping it's that just had a look one has lost some oil could this be the cause?

Seems bad ATM it's hurrendous to try and drive quickly

Just a guess on the rear shockers, anyone any other ideas ??

Sure signs of rear shocks. There cheap enough for new ones and its best to replace both at the same time.

You could always remove the rear shocks and push them down to see the compression. That way you'll know if its them or not before buying new ones.

Oh god I bloody hope so!

I've visible signs of oil leaking on the O/S

Only just changed the springs due to one being a normal clio 1.4 spring and 1 being a sport spring guess it's taken it's toll on the dampers :(

new shocker time if not them I give up lol :(
