Clio Test Drive

Just a few questions about a test drive as im thinking of one on the 182.

1) Is there an age limit?

2) Is there a charge?

3) Does someone from the dealership sit in with you?

4) How long do you get?

where i work theres no age limit as long u have a drive lic, no charge we very rare go out with customers and u get about 15-20 min...

they probably will go out with you if youre under 25

I booked a test drive last March when I was 20 in a 182. I took my dad with me (whos was 58 at the time) the bloke in the dealer knew I already had a clio (1.2) and said you know what clios are like, you can have it for an hour so here you go........ tossed me the keys and me and my dad drove off. The salesman didnt come with us!

Got back with a big grin my on face . The dealer said do you want one? I said yes but cant have one until Im 21......... which I am now and the 182 is coming this time next week!

As long as you dont go wearing a burberry cap, track top and pinroles youll be alright. Depending on age its probably worth taking some one older so they know your not just there to rape the car for a laugh (even if you are).

Shouldnt be a charge for it, length of time and whether the dealer joins you depends on the dealer you visiting.

He let me have a play in a 172 Cup and a 182 with the Cup packs - just gave me the keys and said bring it back when your ready.

Well im 24 and look it maybe slightly older, I dont wear Burberry, So i should be Ok.

Do they use pressure tactics after the drive to try and get a sale??

I am interested in getting one but not untill later in the year, Id like to test drive a few more cars as well and keep my options open type of thing.
