No, thats why there are "Tracks" on which you can do "trackdays" and race as many porsches as you want.

Say for example this video had ended with an accident and him or his passenger or someone else being killed, would you be posting " nice car mate"

c'mon you flowerbulb ! , accidents happen everywhere ! When there is no other traffic around i do'nt see the trouble of thrashing your car every now+then ? A little race with someone who wants a go , it's ok. People doing this around other road users should be shot , YES

btw the way, Tulips are from Turkey ;)

^^^^ If you do that in NL then you arte braver than me, as it usually ends with *flash* and I pay the dutch enough in taxes to pay em 400 euros because they are sneaky and underhand enough to hide cameras at the side of the road behind bridges etc.

I will occasionally have a go on the autobahn (de restricted, as its legal) and i'm 130km's from Nurburg, so I'll go up there and do it properly.

Float like the General Belgrano on this forum lol

I will admit its a valid point though, for a forum dedicated to quick hot hatches I marvel at how little actually use them on track etc. "road driving stories" is far more popular than Trackdays section.

^^ taxes in the lowlands, ouch :dapprove:

Yep, they're sneaky indeed. Known to have a waist-bin sitting by the road , one that flashes

I only let go at night/evening with the least traffic, NO danger to others and i know my territory

Perhaps 2010 is the year that this happens then?

I'm sure there are ways and means of doing it and I am happy to chat to people if they feel its a valid idea.

Maybe we could even get Mr. Townsend from Renault involved as he organises the RS trackdays already.

quite, but I bet his IP address used to post to youtube and post in here are the same.

So his IP address would be traced, if anyone cared to bother..

How was it me driving?

Er.. cause you said it was

I was lying

OK then sorry bai

I think the filming part is the main issue...but if he was doing this at rush hour past a school then I could understand the barrage of abuse but I think the CS police take this too far, only reading the posts just to post some moral bs. Also I think the main reason for there being more of these stories than track stories is obviously because people are driving their cars everyday, running into little blasts like these but aren't going to be on a trackday everyday. I don't imagine there being many cars/people on here who haven't had a blast like this during their years of driving...maybe if the op was a more well know poster he would have received a little less s**t...imo of course

well arent you lot a bundle of laughs, i saw the video when it was up and i dont remember him doing any dangerous manoeuvres or cutting anyone up, all i remember was it was pretty straight and he didnt do anything that looked like it may have caused a crash.

Lighten up?

Hes driving his car fast on public roads.

Everyone in this thread has done it, myself included.

Who actually cares whether he gets summoned or not? Really, who cares?

Edit: Vidoes been removed lol, seems the summonds is in the post :D

Everyone does it, know one denies that, people do not post videos of it in general. Moral highground or not, this forum is full of people that are impressionable and not exactly blessed with common sense. If videos are posted, it only takes one of these people to go out and try to do the same themselves,to get the "wow thats awesome" replies for this forum to have another RIP or "crashed" thread.

Anyone who has been on a breakfast run or meet has seen the lengths some people go to because they think its "cool"

My point was there are people who will judge this guy then do exactly the same themselfs but not post it. He has hardly commited crime of the century, he's speeding on an empty road, 90% of people on this site would do that.

Thats my point,as per my above post. The video no proof or not clearly shows the car doing over the speed limit, if its encouraged and supported,it gives the wrong impression of this forum.

Il second that TBH.

Generally if i see a thread i dont like / agree with i just dont post. All this forum policing and stuff gets annoying.

if this forum didn't have people policing it, it would be like a zoo without keepers the animals would start eating each other.

In this instance, the video doesn't show the speedo, and I couldn't see any other cars around. Yes we have all done it, but it is still a bit daft to film things on the road and then post them up.

This one wasn't bad, but some of the videos on youtube, I hope the drivers crash and die, before they crash and kill an innocent mother with her two small children in the backseat! They ban pirated videos on youtube, but videos of people driving like tools don't get taken down.

I agree with Weeman on this, not really something to promote on the site and he could be caught.

This guy posted a video of his Edition 30 racing an RS4 on a Golf forum and ended up with a 15 month ban, £450 fine and £400 costs. Full story and video here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lincolnshire/7960699.stm

Apparently, the police went to that road, measured the distance he drove in the video, and from the time he did it in the video worked out his speed.
