Could not agree more. I find it funny that the same people criticising are the very same people who say they would and have done the same on the autobahn. Why's it any different? Racing is racing and it's illegal however you look at it.
If conditions are right and there are little to no other road users then who cares? I'm sure if Lee was a moderator racing down the autobahn where racing is still illegal it would be justifiable by the hypocritcal hangers on.
Just for poops and gigs
None of the above sound like any tracks were involved?
Just remember there is a search feature before you all start with the holier than thou nonsense.
If you'll read the thread properly, you will see that on more than one occasion I do not deny driving like that, primarily I objected to it being video'd for two reasons, it may get the OP in trouble, and it encourages others to do the same.
Do you drive around constantly with a camera on in the car, or film your spirited drives?? Or did the OP go out with camera looking for someone to find??? If its not slightly worrying why has the video been removed by the OP?
FYI doing silly speeds on the autobahn if its de restricted is legal, however it has to be done safely, If you are caught tailgating, undertaking etc etc, you can still be locked up for dangerous driving. And being passed at 140 mph by a fat german in a E55 mercedes, and continuing to do 140 mph, while he dissapears away is not racing, that my friend is the de-restricted autobahn.
This video, clearly showed (as it was being filmed) that he set off purposefully to catch the porsche, if he had simply been popping to tesco's for a pint of milk, i doubt it would of been video'd.
Yes speeding down the road back from Brussels is also stupid as being caught at 105 mph not liong after that once got me a 500 quid fine and 2 weeks of no license, That was ten years ago now. Since that day I amended my ways, making mistakes is a great way of learning. Its also worth pointing out, that on that road and other motorways there are not round abouts, that people can suddenly appear from.
I have learnt over time, that this type of driving on public roads, can often and will often end up getting people into trouble or leading to an accident. No one here is trying to preach or be a hypocrite, merely pass on some of the experiences they have had, to the younger members of this forum. But should people choose to ignore this advice then fine, by all means carry on.
