Clio V6 mk2 - may do it

  Throttled V6 and Daewoo
I have just been offered a V6 clio on a 04 plate in silver

now I have always spent my cash on cars, however i'd need to sell the cosworth to fund this.

I have driven them before, but want to do something a little different in terms of engine work. Are throttle bodies an option?

I'd be thinking of purchasing within the next few days because it won't hang around

  Xr2 Turbo.
I think its possible mate.If anyones going to try it-you will.
You deserve to spend that cash youve saved up! The Cossies virtually sold isnt it?

Throttle bodies are an option Yozzasport are using Freds car as a test car. Personally I'd stick with manifolf reworking and cams/head work etc it will be cheaper plus gains should be about the same.

There quite a few bits out for the cars depends how much you want to spend. Mike T spent £10+ on his engine alone for a supercharged 440hp machine but I'd imgaine now that the issues with his are fixed it could be done for a bit less.

thanks for the info edde

I'd be looking at doing it extremely soon as this company need a car to test the work on... I have luckily been offered the opportunity, if i can purchase the car. The company is based in France, my father has contacts with them. Unfortunately they do not specialise in Clio's but are more than capable of doing the work to a high standard.

serg - yes the cossie is basically sold - i just need to give the nod.

Yeah as Edde said,Mike T's car on here was pretty awesome.May be worth speaking to him.
I have a friend on a french Forum,he has a v6 & I met him wen I went over with a few of the SIDC lot on a european trip. who says he knows of a conversion for the v6 which includes throttle bodies. He only speaks french so I cant put you in direct contact with him (unless you speak the lingo?) but il drop him an e-mail this avo and PM you back.Sounds like your ready to go ahead with all this now?

There already another cmpany in Franch who a few years ago sorted the throttle bodies out to work.
Also there a Germany (or Swiss) place who did a low pressure superchrager kit 330hp I think. But it wasn't cheap since it was TUV

wonders - this may well be the same garage that have offered me the work. Father knows Rick - the owner.. does that ring a bell? I know he's done alot of conversions on subarus in the past. based near Bordeaux?

I have the funds yea, which is no good thing when I'm trying to consider all my options!

The cosworth is on an M plate, Black, 39,000 miles.

Really well looked after as I hardly use it. I've received an offer which I'll let it go for. Wonderful car to own yeah, but I'm after something different now. The 205 will be an everyday runner.
