Elf Tranself TRX 75w-80, designed with Reno, ive seen synchros blewn after few k miles, when using something else...

Yep get it from renault, take an empty container in and ask them to fill it. ~ 3 litres i think?

Not if you use a funnel. very easy and shouldnt spill any, just a little bit once its full.

not a bugger at all.

Any normal funnel with extendable/bendable bitty witty thing will fit straight into the hole.

Not all Dealers keep this stuff in stock, and most of the time will fob you off with 75w90 stuff that they got barrels of. Infact Some 75w90 synthetic is fine.

i put castrol gtx in my gearbox the other week (DO NOT DO THIS) b4 sum1 told me i was a dick and i put sum 75w 90 in tbh havnt noticed any difference this was in an rt btw

whats are people paying for "Elf Tranself TRX 75w-80"??

anyone buying from other then Renault?

How much do you need for a williams?

How difficult is it to change in practice? (appears easy but rarely is the case i find)

is there a gasket or somthing for the drain plug?

  172 cup,s2 rs turbo

you need 3 litres but ill have to get you a price.

easy to change, drain plug just has a copper sump washer on it.

get a funnel so you can get to the filler plug on the front of the box without spilling oil everywhere

wheres that Ben? Are you still in bristol? Or back SE way?

you still at UWE? Im in most friday (late start early finish of course)

Bristol yea.

well, i can do it at the uni if you want.....if i must....but youll park in the gravel carparks too!

no mate wasnt suggesting that,

just you could come for a look at my mega mileage beast one day if your about. I always keep an eye open but never seen any of your cars parked. I normaly park it in the furtherst car park (gravel) but like i say it only Fridays.

I reckon we should meet up with BenH sometime for a laugh - be good to have something to compare mine with to see how many horses have jumped the fence since it was new, 50k Vs 110k tractors Vs modified angle grinder engined clio?

yes agrred CC this summer without doubt. also would like to do an airfield track day to get me started. have you ever driven at Kemble? thats not far from me and there less to crash into and therfore a better place to famialierise myself with the limits of the car.

also collerne sprints? just down the road fro me?

Prior to that it would be good to meet up fopr a chat and so i can buy some of the proepr trans oil off you if you got plenty (Supply only of course)

sorry for the thread hijack

Redline stuff from Demon Tweeks is also good. Definately need over 3 litres. Used 3 and a half bottles of stuff on mine.

kemble is horrid...i hate airfield tracks as teh surface is concrete with ball bearings, bumpy, noisy, horrid.

i dont stock the oil......call renault a few days early.

Wheres the best place to order/buy Elf TRX 75W-80 oil?

My local Renault deal is cr*p.

Rossa
my local dealer (renault romford) told me to buy trz so i believed them,(haynes manual is correct with trx) the cr*p was fully synthetic & not what i should have been using..

once id put it in & realised it was wrong,i f*cked them off and went to another reno dealer to buy the trx (the one your meant to use)

i bought 3.5 litres, and it think it came to 35.00 i just paid them the money as i wanted to get the oil & drain the wrong sh*t out & get it back on the road again.
