Clio172 mk2 Accelerater Pedal

When i am "giving it some" i have noticed the accelerater pedal goes down to a point and stops but if i push a little harder it goes a bit further! I read about a CUP in PGTI magazine that had a similar accelarater, anyone else had this?

LOL Are you refering to the click like feeling when you press the accelerator hard?!?! Nearly all of them are like that.

Mine does the same. Isnt it when you push it hard into the little plastic stopper in the carpet?

Yes right at the bottom of the depression, i thought it was a warp speed selecter. Dont know what causes it though.

I was gonna get the RR operator to try this with mine on Saturday and see if it makes any difference at all...

Do a stage 1 then stage 2 (with click) run and see if the power/torque curves are different.



That will settle it once & for all.

it is because the pedal is also used in cars with cruise control.the additional click is a switch that tells the computer that you are on full acceleration and to switch of cruise control.it does no purpose in cars without cruise control.

They all do it 172and cups even the one at the motor show in Bham had it.

Think its for the optional NOS they were gonna fit.. its activated when you depress the pedal past that point honest
