Was just browsing YouTube and came across this video.



2004 - 2008 was my favourite era on Clio sport. The website might of not been as busy but the cars were awesome! Loads of Williams, valvers, hybrids etc. Early throttle bodied cars and there was always loads of meets going off.

Good times.

I remember my first meet I went to in 2004. I was the only mk2 Clio in attendance! The rest were Williams and valvers!

Good times, I bought an RT in 2004 off a mate, it was a shed. Had some chav-tastic Evo R wheels, and a noisy K&N airbox.

I used to laugh pulling lengths on cars that it had no business pulling lengths on.
That's just about the only pictorial evidence I have, that I owned it. 😂

I have a MK1 as a daily while I'm doing repairs on the Cup.

First thing I noticed was the turning circle was like a taxi in compassion to the MK2! Paid £200 for it, with a plan to tidy it up and sell on when I had finished with it after a month or so.

It's now been almost 6 months, and it failed MOT on a low tyre, so chucked my Williams wheels on it... It's a flat blue/purple, has 5 doors, and an 'Energy' engine... but it's been great!

I still remember going down to Saarfend in my 16v, got back to the car park & some gypo had half inched two of the f*cking centre caps! :rage: I had a Cobra on it too & the f*cker never went off!

I also remember going down there in a mates yellow 106 gti & seeing a ton of Clios parked up by the casino & seeing a few cs stickers. I joined up a week later

I've not noticed a valver / williams on the road for years now. Can't be many left... Good Williams examples command good money! I bet there are a few locked up.

I had to flog it as I chose to go to uni that year as working was gash. While I had it up for sale my Dad used it for a Couple of months, he loved it! Rude boy overtakes and everything, making the k&n sing! Was well jealous.
Hopefully I don't have any sons knocking about

Around the time I first joined the forum, maybe 10+ years ago @midge was selling a white valver and at the time I really really wanted it but didn't have a penny to give!

Can see still picture it now, had super turismo's on IIRC

I had a black Valver back in 2000, lowered on 17" TSW Venoms with a big induction filter on the TB. For the Southend meets they'd park up at the Strawberry Fields pub car park then convoy to the seafront. It was about the time when the phase one 172s just came out. Brilliant cars, loved the bonnet and flared arches, good times.

It was sweet until someone drove into my rear 1/4 and smashed that and then when sitting at a set of lights 7/8 days later an uninsured female driver drove into me and smashed the rear floor pan in.

Started life a 1.8 16v and then ended up with a 2.0l Williams lump in it. Was rapid. Made 155bhp atw but had been played with by Hill power.
Shiny.

Loved this car.
