Hey guys just thought I would get this started.
This is an area to give the Cliosport Saturday organisers the chance to see what you thought of CSS13.
Also its an area to share ideas for next year and your thoughts on what can be improved.

The location made it for me, if it were just the field I doubt I'd have stayed as long as I did. One thing though, who ever organised the parking of cars for the first few rows that got there messed up - not enough room between rows to get out!!

I'm sure more traders would have been there if it weren't for the weather! We're coming next year though!

it wasnt the weather in my case mate its the logostics involved on what to bring along.plus if anything gets broken goes missing gets messed up it would be on my head, and with the prices of the bits i could do without the 1.50 a month i pick up going into the red!!!!

  A special one.
I brought £££££ to spend thinking that there was going to be traders stalls, but there wasn't.
Great location though and even when it rained there was still lots to go and look at.
Oh and the spitfire was epic!!!
Great for me as I was traveling from Essex but not to great for the northen lot which is a shame.

as said above the place was amazing nice to see the new 200t in the flesh close up and some of the cars were stunning!
if i could get more people from here interested in seeing what i do (not just messing around on the net as some say :() i think their view may change!

As much as the location was nice etc i think it would be good to have it a bit more central to the UK for our Scottish/Irish members, although i don't mind the trip i think we'd get more of an attendance from ourselves on the whole, just a thought.

My only criticism, is that once again there's no real area to gather as such. Yes there's a small marquee, but with the amount of money available to organise, I've seen things before at brands etc where there's just a giant marquee with some comfy looking garden furniture under it. It'd be nice to just have somewhere to chill and catch up with a group of people or similar.

Impressed with the location though, planes are cool, especially when you have Joe telling you what they all are.

Oh and one other criticism, pay on the day and you got no pack/food voucher/anything. AND it cost more!!! Bit of a tough break that.

I agree with Rob. A large club area to sit down for a coffee and a chat would be great.

Couldn't a large marquee and garden furniture be hired for next year?

Could have a stall inside selling snacks and teas/coffees etc to help recoup the rental cost.

I'd be happy to help with this as would others I'm sure.

that is a good idea in all fairness^^^^
as was said in a few threads forum names would have been good from my point of view just so i could thank in person the people who have ordered from here!

Yes I agree with Rob and Ron, there was alot of people from cs who id have liked to have met on the day.
With the place being so big and not many people around there cars I feel that I missed out.
CS need to invest in a bigger tent where drinks and snacks can be served.
People sitting around having a chat will always spend money on refreshments.

Big field, big tent, all park around the outside put your tent next to your car if you want stay the night, bar, bbq and a band in the evening:) a social event would be a great idea and it would stop people posting rubbish and hiding behind a forum name. Rob and Dave are right cliosport needs to grow up:)

I'm liking that idea Ian!
We get a marquee and put some table and chairs inside with a bar area. Perhaps even a Hog Roast!
Get a band to play and also have some social events on during the day.
Perhaps Regions Tug-O-War or 5 aside.

Also throw in some awards to be given out in the evening. Such as Cliosport Regional Rep of the year or Cliosport member of the year.
Make it more a social occasion so the whole forum can socialise.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have CSS14 in the same location! Was gutted I couldn't make it especially after viewing the photos on here afterwards :dapprove:

It was a long drive for the northerners, but we're used to that now.

Without wanting to sound negative, I probably won't be attending the next one, it's too far south.

Hats off to the scots who trek down though.

Needs a bigger marque as said with refreshments sold inside, maybe put the price of the ticket up to compensate

More traders, I also brought some money to spend and went home with a tub of touch up paint.

Name badges as mentioned, felt a bit awkward speaking to people as everyone had there own group it seemed.

Location was great though.

Would have been so amazing if we were allowed to park the cars diagonally along that whole concrete stretch between all the hangers...! Obviousely it has its health and safety implications, and obviousely permission from Duxford, but it would have made some very impressive pictures, and got more people interested in the cars! :)

  Twingo Dynamique
Well once 2/3 cars are parked, the angle is set and people just park along side, and back up until back corner is level with grass /edge concrete? :)

Who give a sh1t if cars are parked straight or not, it's a fkn Clio ffs.

I thought the venue was ace, I've never seen so many different planes in one place, I think I still managed to miss half of them.

It's not easy with a small team running things, and I think you have to make the most of it on the day.

I enjoyed it .

How big do you think the Marquee would have to be to fit most people in. HUGE!!

Almost... building sized?

I really want to go back there. SO much I missed.

Great event as per and the location was great, just a shame the weather wasn't great.

My only negative would be about parking on the grass. Would be much better if we were all able to park on gravel. But thats only a very minor point tbf.
