BMW E34 540i
Yesterday on the way back from work I got too quick into the turn. When I saw I am not going to make it I tried to help myself with the hand break - partly helped but I ended up hitting the kerb with the right rear wheel. I was sliding not even 10mph. The damage to the rim is minimal like parking scratch but still something got damaged as car is leaning to the left.
I am so pissed at myself for going too quick but still the problem needs to be sorted.
I am going to my dealer tomorrow hopefully they will tell me whats wrong.
Now question to you - what it might be and how much its going to cost? I know its like guessing for you but I know you have much better idea about my car than I do
I am afraid I bended a part of the suspension - at the other hand If the pieces holding the wheels are so fragile to be damaged by something like that I am afraid to drive this car
Could the hit make the tracking wrong and this is what causes the leaning ?
Another question is how the Renault warranty works - assuming that it is a part of the suspension. Can I buy the replacement part from Renault and fit it elsewhere ? Will it affect the warranty ? Does all the repairs must be done by the "stealer" to keep the warranty?
