clonking

my 172 cup has starting to make a clonking noise on full lock

i im sure someone on here had this before but cant remember what it was... and was it covered by warranty

Hello there. Ive just bought a Clio 172 Cup aswell ive only experienced this creaking once on full lock on uneven ground? If anyone could help.

this is a common fault its to do with the suspension struts and covered fully by warranty and im sure the rrest of the cliosport lads will correct me if im wrong etc

dont worry its normal, all 172 cups do it unless they have been modified not to

its not normal and needs fixing unless u like the sound of a clonk every time u go full lock i had a 172 aswell and got this sorted

yep.

if its under warranty get it in.

they will modify the top of your strut.

had mine done last week. they dremmel the top of the strut to stop it knocking.

Yep, this is a common fault . As long as your cup is still coved by warrenty, renault will fix it no probs. Had it on my 182 and they fixed quickly with no problems...
