Clutch related rattle\tapping (172)

My Phase 1 172 has developed a rattle at idle when clutch pedal is FULLY DEPRESSED.

I assumed this could be the release bearing. Am i correct ?

As i lift the clutch pedal slowly the noise disappears, after an inch or so of movement.
