Hi Guys,
I know this has been asked plenty of times before, but hoping for some fresh ideas maybe!
Car (182) keeps going into LIMP mode, with the coil light and the EML on. My code reader is picking up 'P0120 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit'.
I've removed the white plug with the bay fuse box, stripped down and cleaned all the contacts and rebuilt. Double checked all the cabling into the ECU, appears fine with no damage/or rubbing that I can see. Stripped the throttle body down and cleaned, as well as cleaning all the contacts on the connector. Cleaned all the contacts on the coil pack. Took the back off the throttle pedal and cleaned all of that too, not too much scoring on that to my surprise..
Any more suggestions before I give in and take it to my local specialist?!
Coil light goes off when restarting the car, and it drives and idles fine.. Give it a minute or 2 of driving and it comes back. Doesn't seem to do it when just left idling (10mins+ no light).. Coil light triggers the EML, with the above code. Clear it and it comes back as soon as the Coil light comes back on..
ARGHH!!
