coil pack info

Right, on my mk2 ph1 1.6 rxe i think the coil pack is on the way out (thats what the breakdown guy said). what am i lookin at for 1 and are they easy diy fit??

Is yours the pencil type coils, if so its stupidly expensive at a dealers or about £10 ea. on ebay.

they should be individual coil packs dont just replace one replace them all mate i replaced just one when i had a 1.6 then the others followed suit

have been told that if you replace the coil packs (x2) the ecu might have a problem reconising them.
Each block has 2 plugs

just replace them all mate save hassel later on there not expensive

ok, so if i replace all then will have no probs with ecu. From reading the haynes manual they look like the e7j engine if that any help.

i got a second hand set for a tenner worked fine!
