coil pack

just had to callout AA to replace coil pack,the guy said he wished he had a penny for every coil pack he had fitted to a clio ,megane and modus hed be a millionare,so is it renault just use (mighty white) parts,he said they use sagem (crap apparently)ones but he replaces them with lucas.

They are not very reliable,i have been through 3 sets of pencil coils, but i think the new ones from renault have been redesigned to be reliable.

the ones with brown tops are usually spot on, its the ones with the grey tops that fail quite a lot

hehe anyone know where to get a cheap coil pack for a clio 1.2 16v. As stupidly today, I pulled out one the wires from the HT rubber holder when changing plugs. I stuffed the wire back in solid but i dont wanna risk leaving it.

There is one on ebay 25gbp for a second hand, or 50gbp for a brand new. Can anyone beat these prices.

the brown tops are made by lucas and the grey ones are sagem, a bit peeeeeeeeeeeed off as the car has only done 20k, paid the AA £49 for new one.
