Coilovers, again! ( sorry!) FK 's...

correct me if i am very much wrong, but owning a non cupped 182, means i have the abillity to fit FK coilovers designed for the 172?

i just wondered what the old FK's are like? if you have them fitted to your motor what are they like? whats the ride quality like compared to normal, and how is handling improved?

Dont want to spend silly amounts of money on coilys, so will FK be a good compromise?

fk's are supposed to be very good, people are thinking of doing a group buy again on them. check in the for sale section

I have FK's but thats going from std 1.6 16v suspension. the ride is much stiffer and much less body roll. Mines is a mk2 ph1 so not sure how it will compare to a non cupped mk2 ph2 182

Fk Highsports will need regular de-rusting and re-greasing to keep them from ceasing up when you go to adjust them. However they are excellent value and feel very good on the car.

i got em on my 172mk2, and ye there firmer than the standards , me mate thinks its a little too firm at times but only if u hit pot holes or have dodgy roads near you. But then again i like em and dont think i`d go back to the standards , as i prefer it going faster round bends feels alot more sturdy. Only one thing i wud change and thats make ride hight 10mm higher , some big speed bumps around here and the center box catch`s some times

^^ lol at you two .. I have learnt the hard way... bought FK's for my FF 182 (58MM bolt space) and was very  at Tweeks when they told me they didn't fit .. :)

  Vectra :(
Am i right in thinking the minimum drop on FK highs is 40mm? this would be the only thing to put me off as at times maybe a 20mm drop would be better around large speed bumps

Why dont you adjust them to make them 10mm higher then?

mainly because im far too idle to get under car, and i carnt be arsed to find them fk spanner things to adjust it. maybe once it goes for somet else doing i`ll have it done at same time
