I have the gold ones also.

I get like a twanging noise when turning the wheel after the car's been sitting for a while.

But it does not happen when im driving, only when im first turning the wheel when i pull away from the car being parked for a while.

Yeah thats what it did for me at first, and it got progressively worse :(

Mine seem to be getting worse.
I think i'll ring them, as there hasn't been any update in this thread unfortunately.

Just found this thread - after speaking with Sean the other day about having these noises in mine.
Sean was really helpful and sounded like he knew straight away what was wrong with it, so I had to have a peek on here to see what the craic is.

Found play in my drivers side top-mount when me & mechanic were looking for a noise we believed was a driveshaft on the way out.
Thank God I didn't go and order a shaft!

It has a lot more give "up & down" than the left mount. It is also knocking on a bumpy road, and makes a juddering noise on a hard left (what made us think it was the shaft)
The twanging noise as described above seems to be coming from the left side, but I don't get any knocking on the left :S

Anyone else had that?

I can honestly say the AST top mounts are awesome and are a fair bit cheaper than the Mark Fish ones (I think), so for anyone looking for some get a set of them ordered, 10 times better than standard imo.

Hope you guys get your Ktec ones sorted, they seem to be turning into the billy bolt on of the tuning world, just look at their ITB kit.

2.5k for a kit fitted with a generic map? nice.

You seen to have been given some incorrect information. For £2.5k will supply and fit the kit and set up the car on our dyno with a custom map. Our standard base map is so good that the fine tuning of the map on the dyno takes around 15 minutes and in some cases no fine tuning has been required (bearing in mond how many of the kits and car we have done, we have a large range of stock maps).

This year we are working on setting up some UK dealers so should you wish to buy the kit yourself you can then go to a dealer to have the ecu fine tuned.

I hope this makes it a little more clear.

David.

Just off the phone again to Sean, and for peace of mind he expalined what the issue was with the Gold-coloured mounts.

Will hear back on Wednesday when the replacements come into stock

Thanks again K-Tec :D
