coilovers or not

  Silver Clio 172 Phase 1
Just have a quick look under the arches/ rear to check the springs/ dampers if there standard springs will be black.
Most coilovers have pretty colours for the springs / dampers i.e yellow / red etc. and should be branded on them too if aftermarket
Shouldn't be a problem even if it does have coilovers unless its wound stupid low.
Only way to tell if it will carry all of you is chuck all of you in there head down the road (preferably one with speed bumps) and see if it scrapes/ rubs on anything!
From looking at your pic (not the best!) it doesnt seem stupid low maybe just been lowered on sportline / prolines??

No worries bud. I think apex and Kw springs are yellow (not sure on any others i know prolines were black and sportlines red).
Apex springs are regarded as terrible tbh! (i havent used them but have heard the ride quality is very harsh). But i think KW are ok (the coilovers seem to be regarded ok on here anyway).
From the sounds of it your on standard dampers with lowering springs. On mine i've got proline springs (only about a 20mm drop tops). And i've happily driven with me a mate and about 150 - 200kgs of building supply's in the back. Didn't bottom out anywhere or anything. But the only way your really going to find out is to drive it loaded up and find out!
