Coilovers ?

HELP

There is a squeaking noise coming from the front of the car, I had it in the garage today and all the brakes where cleaned down. The guy thinks it is something to do with the coilovers. Can somebody give me some help as to what to do ?

I take a spray of WD40 is not allowed ?

I think I will need to take it to a specialist... which will probaly be costly.

So as much help as possible please

The shocks are gased on the clio coilovers arent they??

If so they perhaps its the wishbone or bushes??

Mine are springs...

How long have you had them??

Did they come with shocks aswell??

I bought them with the car, im guesssing over 3 years for sure maybe even 5. I think they do have shocks.

Can't really see it being the springs tbh but then again i might be wrong...

Ive got a creaking noise coming from the passenger front wheel after just putting coilovers on... ive ruled out that its not the springs 'cos theyre new and the dampers are gas filled so i don't think it can be them so that leaves the wishbone or bushes!

If i was you id change the wishbone or bushes first if you say your shocks are gas filled!

If I take the car to a garage tommorow and they say that they need replaced do you think thats them talking rubbish ?

No i wouldnt have thought so... It can be a number of problems and in theory the only way to source it is by changing different parts until it stops...

When I phoned the guy he just said "ye you will need new one's" hate it how he just persumes that without even looking at them yet I need new one's, just £££ for him

Would try and get it to a well known and reputable garage that araen't really going to fob you off like the chap on the phone already sounds as though he's doing...
