Cold Air Feed : MK1 172

  Megane R26
Right I wanna sort the cold air feed on my 172. As of the moment, I am runing a BMC off a Hill power bend. Using the standard CAF with the BMC is a nightmare. I shortened the bend to have more room for the CAF to bend, but since the pipe is short and bloddy wide, I have it running down pointing down to the ground :/

I dont want to remove the fog lamp so does anyone have any suggestions where I can route this, also wanna replace the CAF for the BMC since it looks like its been in a war battle and is stiff as anything and too short :/

Excuse my ignorance CAF? Without removin the foggy it's difficult to get by thr AC stuff, but there is a tight route down to the ground. I'm having two feeds one swashing to the front grill, you need to cut a small bit of plastic to access it. then another feed going where the OE feed is. should be enough bearing in mind i'm not connectin the feed up to the IK.

Same with mk2...I had a look at nite...don't laf, stuck a torch under the car and shone the light path up...Gives not a bad root up...bit bendy tho...hence my plan for 2 feeds.

CAF...Ok...Get with it sister would have been a suitable insult there. lol.

Mesh the lower bumper grill and mount a bell mouth in it. That's what I'm planning. Currently the CAF inlet is mounted behind one of the upper double-slit vents in the bumper, which I don't think gives as good an air feed as a bell mouth will????

What help would meshin the bumper make...apart from makin it look worse? Eve's has managed it. Give him a PM mate.

As Ali said, it is possible. I have one from the fog light recess to my Viper on my Mk1 172.

Take you battery out and it makes finding the route a lot easier, but you will need to cut away some plastic guarding further down. No problems though.

30 mins work, if that.

LOL

Meshing aint an option. Also the rad covers nearly all the bloddy bumper, so looking at fog then :/

I like my fogs :( As have to use em as normal lights since my headlights are as good as candles :/

Replace the bulbs then?? PIAA stuff is spot on. Jack the car up and have a look, wouldn't have a fog out tbh.

Atm its perfect as im missing the passenger fog light, due to putting the car in a ditch! :(
