Thinking out loud this but bare with me. I’ve got a pms lightweight pulley on an alternator, do you think I could fit it to my cup alternator and run a 4pk848 belt in replacement for the 5pk847? Would it work, any downside?
I use a lightweight pulley on my Cup alternator. Don't forget that the light weight pulley is also a larger diameter to lower the current draw so you may need a slightly longer belt than that.

Oh is it, I hadn’t compared them side by side. I may give it a go and see how it goes!

Didn’t realise it had been so long since I updated this thread, saying that I haven’t seen the car in 3 months!
But good news, she’s insured again ready for 2021. MOT next week at some point then I can finally see what all the group n fuss is about 🤣

  Hi comp phase 1
@colesy. Did you ever fit those duroflex rear beam bushes?
Hope you have a good shake down on track once they are up and running again 👍👍

Looks great mate. Wheels suit it perfectly. Nice to hear its back in use a lot more regularly too.

You may have just read my 182 thread and again it’s been a while!
After the MOT hiccup I found the starter motor wiring had shorted on the exhaust manifold, back feeding the alternator and killing the alternator. After much faffing I got that sorted and had to wire in a new inline fuse as the factory inline popped when that happened.
It’s now running Gaz GHA coilovers which will be okay for now as we wanted the 182 on the bilsteins.
I string aligned It in my garage so she now drives straight, when I eventually buy some decent coilovers I’ll borrow the corner weight scales from work and do it properly!

I fabricated a harness bar which is now fitted and braced properly to get the harness angles better. Just need some bits to arrive and I can get my GT3 schroth harness fitted.
Ive got a track evening booked at snetterton on the 26th April which will be the first outing and hopefully it’ll go okay! If it does I can carry out more development as I hope to run in the run what you brung time attack class at some point this year (missing that competitive life!)

Thanks to @Daniel (legend even delivered them!) I now have a set of NS2-R’s ready for my track evening at snetterton this coming Monday. Car has been wheel aligned, filled with fuel, done 40 miles on the road and it seems all okay. Just to fit the new tyres and a final spanner check before loading up the trailer at the weekend. Cannot wait to be back on track!!!!

Has anyone used gaz gha coilovers with the standard 300/400 spring rates? As I’m pretty sure mine are fucked as they bounce about a lot, although the roads round my way are s**t. Would be good to hear other people’s experiences

What value would people put on my car? I’m thinking about moving it on as after 10 years of playing with Clios i think I’m done....

Clio 172 track car
Engine stripped checked and built with new gaskets belt etc 2020 and group n timing.
Mapped EFI tuning making 184.9bhp 170lbft torque.
Ktec induction kit
182 manifold ktec link pipe to ktec res exhaust.
Gaz gha coilovers camber bolts
Poly bushed front end
Epas installed with linked standard rack
Forge coolant hoses
Nankang NS2-r tyres on Oz f1 wheels
Fully stripped with sparco drivers bucket seat on Jon foz extra low frame.
Kode steering wheel
Interior loom relocated and removed unnecessary wiring including behind dash.
