Collection CUP this week -advice needed.

At long last my cup is expected at my dealer this wednesday , although its still "in french transit" at the moment they reckon itll turn up on time! Anyway, when I go to collect the car what do I need to look out for ???

I know that the front splitter and 172CUP badges are dealer fit so Ill be checking those. But what else should I check? Some people here have mentioned toolkits in the boot and 2 cans of tyre foam? What exactly is supposed to be included?

Any advice on how to spot repair/respray on the cup would be appreciated too! Im paranoid it will have been damaged by some fool taking off the boat or transporter!

Experience from cup owners much appreciated.

Thanks.:D

"172 Cup" stickers are not dealer fit, but the splitter is. I think the Cup 172 stickers are fitted at the importers.

Check that the paint colour matches all the way round the car (where panel meets panel) and check inside the doors where the panels meet the inside of the doors. Check around the edges of the doors for overspray and ridges/paint layers.

Good luck...

I Got my CUP last week,it came with:

172 Cup badges ( fitted straight - is that a first? )
Splitter on the back seat ( still havent fitted it yet )
Locking wheel nuts.
Set of tools in the spare wheel compartment
2 cans of tyre foam
1 yrs road tax
2 sets of keys and fobs
Renault Clio handbook
Renault dealler network list
Maintenance service bookInstructions for the alarm
Certificate of alrm installation
warranty and services book
Radio / CD player instructions
Renault Assitance card
Renault International Security Register documents
A little black case to hold the above paper work

Luckily my car was fine, but when you get it dont do what I did and just jump in with a big grin on your face and go for a 50 mile drive! and then check it out after.

Take time to go around and check the car and the list above. I can gaurantee that as soon as youve taken delivery and signed for it Renault wont want to know about anything that is wrong or missing.

Oh, make sure the dealler fits your splitter as trying to get them to do it after youve taken delivery is a big problem and lots of hassle - take my word for it!

Enjoy - the wait is well woth it!

dont sign for anything untill u have checked fully as there is endless faults with these cars. once u drive away in it ull find it very frustrating getting them fixed through the dealer.

also the dreaded suspension knock ,why dont reno recall them all and fix em
