Common Earth

ive got 2 amps, one for my sub and one 4 channel for all the other speakers in my car.....

does it matter if i earth them at seperate places ?

dont think so, my 4 chan amp is earthed too the chasis in the boot, i think the mono block will be done in same way, but other side

No mate, wont make a bit of difference as the whole chassis is an earth point

yeah it will make a difference...this can cause something called a ground loop which can induce noise into ur system....try to avoid earthing them in seperate places, especially if the amps have a high current consumpsion

earth them both to the same point or you will get interference in the system as per last post m8.

Spot on you will notice interference if you create a ground loop so always put them to the same earth point

well you were right, i earthed em at seperate points and i get interference

bought an earthing point so ill have to rig that up so there both on the same point.....
