Components in a Mk1...

Right so I think the standard speakers are 4.5cm but what size speakers could you get in there without major mods? I fancy going for a decent SQ setup and have read that a simple stereo system is the best way to go?

The speakers in the doors are 13cm. If your thinking about putting the tweeters in the mounts in the dash then theyre about 2.5cm across. Not sure which speakers youre thinking about when you say 4.5cm, unless that was a typo!

doors = 13cm

rears = 10cm

i some Longmill 3 way components consistin of tweeters, 6" mid and 6x9" bass drivers

Thats true, you can fit a 10cm speaker in the dash. But you can also dismantle the existing speaker for a handy tweeter sized hole.

pp - Where abouts in the doors did you fit 6x9s?

rear 1/4s would be the best place but mine are goin in my boot install
