Components in a MK3

Hi

Looking at putting some components in my car but just wondering do I have to take the dash off to get the speaker in or does the metal grill come off some how?

They pry up mate just have to be carefully as they may snap both side have to be pushed in to get them right off one youve poped them up.

Not a clue mate as i only pryed them up to see if they would come off havent ventured any further yet.

I have opted to just replace the door speakers with coaxial speakers as I cant be doing with removing the dash!

theyre 5" comps, tho ive put 6" in mine

Anyone changed their front components in a mk3 yet? I'm also looking in to replacing them........or would it just be worth amping them?
