Confused on claying?

Car  Clio MK 4
Once i have washed it do i have to dry it then start the claying? Can i not leave the car wet and clay it from there whilst adding QD?

And when i clay a panel do i buff it straight off with a MF Towel or do i wash the car ?

i leave the car wet (bar the windows) and use the QD as normal on the panel and clay bar. I dry off any left over QD and when the whole car is done i rewash it and then dry completely

I tend to leave the car wet, doesn't affect the clay and saves time, plus it can also be useful to have more lubricant (i.e. water) on the panels to prevent more marring.

Once clayed I re wash the car. Buffing off can cause more scratches than it is worth. The lubricant washes off very easily.

o right so do you clay the whole car then wash it again as opposed to clay a panel at a time buff off then re wash?
