Connecting an iPod to an older Alpine

Got a bit of money for my birthday yesterday and I fancy treating myself to an iPod. The problem is I have an Alpine CDA7893R which I think is a 2003 unit. It does have Ai-net connection and an aux in so it has the alpine ability to control about 12 cd changers!!

The KCa4021 on the caraudio direct site (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3723) doesnt list my hu as being compatible

What can I get that would allow me to control the ipod through my hu?

you need the interface matey if you want complete control through the h/u any other method of connectivity would limit you to control from the pod itself
