Considering Selling My 197

  Cooper S
Just a thought at the moment, but due to owing a smallish amount of money to the bank as a result of purchasing the car I am considering selling it (at quite a big loss after only 5 months I know) and reverting back to a 182 clearing my debt thus giving me the chance to start putting the money aside for a house.....

I'm really not sure what to do, I know I will have thrown away alot of money in a short space of time, but I have enjoyed the car, just think it might be time to start thinking about more important commitments...

What do you think? Stick with what I have got or be sensible?!

i'd stick with what you've got, unless you're really struggling on making the car payment. depreciation will hit you hard and unless you're really on the breadline i wouldnt sell it

I did consider that mate, but due to doing around 250 - 300 miles per week I want to maintain a fun, yet relatively reliable (as far as a French car can be) balance. Think if I go for an old one it will have alot of niggles.

Nah, I can afford it no probs, but haven't got much cash saved, I do think I'd probably regret it if I sell up...Just thought I'd see what people think...

if you are not in need of selling it I would say keep hold of it for atleast another year mostly because of the depriciation. During said year you can surely start some saving and then if you still feel the same atleast you had your moneys worth

^^^^^^^

Think you are probably right mate. I have got one mate who is interested, I'm not going to advertise it yet if he doesn't want it and I'd only sell if he paid good money.

There's no way I'd go for something really sensible eg a Diesel Golf, I'd be sat here in 3 months wanting another RS!lol

keep it. I would. Depreciation will hit you very hard and you will be gutted about it. Just think which desicion you would regret more in 6 months time

If you sell it the difference you make choppin and changing won't make a significant impact on, say a house deposit?!

keep it!

this is the reaosn i went from my ph2 to a ph1 - love clios still but used it to pay off a massive chunk of my loan - therefore can start svaing for a house quicker. End of the day its your decision - but at least you can say youve owned one and enjoyed it - thats what i say
