Continental Contisport 1

I had a mismatch of tyres on my Civic (45's at front and 40's on rear) so my mate had a pair of these Continental Contisport 1 (yes ONE!) and put em on. Thought they'd be great, but they're awful! Like driving on glass in the wet!

Do they even sell these anymore? Think they're on Contisport 5 now?

Anyone got any experience of them?

I'm surprised. I thought they'd be great. but they're just not in the wet! zero traction and just spin at the lights and even in mid revs when flooring it in the rain!

There's loads of life in them too. Weird.

Check the age stamp should say the week of the year they are manufactured eg. 22 10 22nd week 2010

You might find they are so old the rubber has "gone off"

Ah right. This would make sense. Cheers, looks like my old pal Dave is gonna get a revisit anyway. Just bloody dangerous at the mo.
