Controller in Xbox live

Hi guys, just got my 360 yesterday. When playing xbox live my conroller keeps disconnecting and then reconnecting a few seconds later. Anyone know how to stop this? Are the batteries low?

Replace the batteries, or try wiring it up.. Its sometimes happens due to a poor connection server wise

My controller did this for the first couple of days, it just resolved itself though.

No idea what was wrong with it tbh.
