conversion time!!!

right, im seriously planning a 2.0 litre conversion on my 1.2

i no i need the engine, gear box, loom, ecu, etc

any thing i shud no
 
They will still be made for the 1.2 though...

You want to ask someone like Matt Black who has a 1.2 with various 172/182 bits.
 
Done the conversion many times - ignore these boring f*****s

Your gonna need the engine / ECU / loom / plip key / UCH control unit / driveshafts / gearbox / brakes / calipers / shockers and springs / hubs and discs. Make sure the parts you obtain from the donor car comes with a chassis number for when you go turn key and need to program and recode the immobiliser / ECU. Takes about 10 hrs to do the job from start to finish
 
what kinda costs would you be looking at for the conversion with engine all bits and fitting? as this is somthing ive been thinking about for a few weeks now.

supply a complete conversion kit for £1500 + vat....We dont convert them no more
 
1.5k for all the bits..

1k for fitting.. although.. u can do it yourself.. i had my engine out and in .. took about 5hours... but that all the original wiring and plumming...so budget 3 days
 
awesome, ive been offered a engine n all the bits for 750 + vat me n my bf can fit it, goin to rign the insurance company 2 moro
