i have an 1.2 8v mk1 ph3 and i want to convert it to a bigger engine.

what would be the best engine to put in and also the easiest, if you know that is

almost anything 4 cylinder sub-2.0L would fit with right gearbox etc. but would need brakes etc. upgraded also

is it worth it?

2 or 3K minimum for a decent 2.0L conversion

5K for a decent 172 !
