I think what Mr carbon copy is trying to say is that kits on clio's can look a bit pants if not done properly, and that you don't want to look too 'chav' by adding massive arches etc on a slow-ass 1.2 or something.
The general consensus on here seems to be that "less is more" is the saying to live by - smooth the handles and badges, colour code the sidestrips and bumpers if they are just black plastic, give it a damn good polish, go for some subtle tints, slam it on its ass, fit some decent, lightweight rims with good tyres and go for a good quality stereo that isn't going to boom out across town like a battered old Nova driven by yoofs with baseball caps!
