Could someone help me?

Car  1.2 16v 2005
Hi guys, I'm in a spot of bother at the moment- the clutch on my 1.2 16v needs replacing ASAP- Have sourced a new clutch, but am having problems finding someone to fit it for me. Problem being that I am astudent and money is tighter than a ducks bum at the mo.

Renault quoted £1000 all in- clutch & flywheel- that is a bull***t price baring in mind that they charge £91 for a clutch.. so thats 10 hours of labour... funny that a clutch takes 2 - 3 hours to drop the box and change...

Is there anyone in the north that would be able to do me a deal (and in the process have my eternal thanks) to fit a clutch on the cheap? I would be willing to carry graphics or advertisements for them on the car if it would help. I Don't have a lot of money - so if there was a renault tecky that could do it on a weekend I would be prepared to pay a good hourly rate- I don't have access to a ramp or lift unfortunatly.

I am in leeds at the moment and distance is not a problem...

I have been told that there is blueing on the flywheel, Bristol Street wanted to put a new one of those in as well- I feel that is a bit over kill seeing as though its just a spinning chunk of mild steel (really really hard to muff up)- Would i be right in thinking that they are playing me for a mug?

Unless you've done 100k hard driving then the clutch will be fine it will be a seal or somehting which has damagd the clutch so you need to fix that more importantly.

If theres blueing on the flywheel you must have given the clutch some right beans! get a haynes and do it yourself, easy to do if you're confident.....
