to get a courtesy car when mines in being fixed by local dealers, they say i will have to pay £10 a day insurance, seems a bit excessive when car is going in due to sh*te build quality, can i claim this from renault?
nope, courtesy car is a luxury mate not a right. Altho saying that i have never paid for my courtesy cars. If the dealer says ya gotta pay, ya gotta pay!
Yeah I got a shock too. My local back street garage insisted I inusre the car not them. Cost me £15 for 4 days with elephant and that was for a cr***y P reg Escort.
last time i took my Z3 in for a servicing i asked for a car
and they ask me "WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE SIR"
i ended up with a M5 for the day raged it to death got an average of 9mpg
but ive had an 330td tourer and an X5 in the past as well
reno need to learn from other car companys regareds C\S and keep the customer happy i never paid for a courtesy car from any garage esepecally if the cars gone wrong
Totally agree with dazraffan, renault doesnt give a sh*t about the customer once you drive their new vehicle away.
Ill never buy a renault again, bit of a reverse economy charging £10 to loose a possible lifetimes worth of car sales...
Some garages still offer insurance, most now just ask you to cover the car fully comp on your own policy. Its down to the individual dealer not RUK. Sutton park only give 1.2 Clios, Renault Birmingham gave me a choice as they are a large dealership.
Ive had 1.2 Clios and a 1.6 Megane recently, both I covered on my own policy at no extra cost.
when they failed to fix my car for the 3rd time running i started to get a bit angry at them and they gave me a BRAND NEW 1.4 extreme i think or something i dunno anyway needless to say i ragged the f**k out of it and didnt change the gears very often had 6 miles onit when they gave me it, had 200 odd when i gave it back i gaev it back empty on fuel to, i didnt pay to have the car whule they were trying to fix mine the excess was £1000 though if i crashed it...
