Crash last night!

God there are some right t*ats on here!

I'd be interested to see the unblemished driving records of those slating the guy for crashing!

So he crashed...he said he was going to fast on a slippy road. Why do people then fel the need to have a dig.

I'd agree with those saying that damage looks about right given the speed and what was hit.

I'd say thats alot less that 35mph, maybe 20-25.

Either way, its too fast for the condtions; clearly.

Also noticed you got really unlucky and were hit by an asteroid from the planet duffel.

I think what generally happens is people see comments which interest them, and reply accordingly. Pretty sure that's how a discussion board is meant to work? Perhaps you'd prefer 10 pages of OMG so unlucky matey, happens to the best of us etc. etc. repeat to infinity.

Plus, I don't really see any slagging off going on. Mostly it's just a thread with people thinking cars are indestructable, and suggesting he must have been doing 200mph to cause that sort of damage. Ironically, they're the kind of drivers who think they're safe inside their car because it's made of metal and has airbags to protect their pretty face.

I've crashed, never on a slippy road, never on oil, usually because I was driving like a right royal tw*t.

Every once in a while there is an "RIP" thread on here, Much as i love sweet things, sugar coating accidents so that the majority of impressionable CS people can read, aint the best thing, but.......

"Man, thats s**t dude, can you sue the council or somefink for the watery road? "

Rocket science FTFW.

Someone on here not long back, posted a crash thread, where he admitted he was 100% at fault, The response he got was alot different.

I agree.

Thats about the same speeds that I wrote off my 1 litre K reg polo (first car now 9 years ago). Driving in really thick fog at about 30 on dual carrigeway, unknown road too. Came out into a clearing of the fog to find a roundabout 12 feet away, no time to react so prob doing 25ish. Practically identical damage as the fiesta's. Both front wheels buckled and colission with post of a roundabout sign bent the front of the car in two the same as OP's pics above show for his. The 6 inch metal post I hit moved (the car forced it down and ran it over) though so he may have been going even slower than we reckon.

Doesn't take a lot to wreck cars.

I had passed my test 6 months before with no idea I needed to be going even slower in that type of fog. Was my fault through inexperience on that occasion.....too fast for conditions indeed....we all learn don't we.

Duffel asteroid, pmsl....

Sad to hear about your 'bump' potter88.

Just like to say thanks to everyone who has asked/said 'glad everyone was all ok'.

I ain't having a dig at anyone on here just get's on my back when people are trying to tell me how fast i was going etc when they never witnessed the accident.

Expect half the people on here who had negative opinions have probably had an accident at some point in their life but probably would'nt post due to negative feedback

I understand people are going to have their opinions about the accident which is fair enough.

Like people say we learn from our mistakes.

Those engines are rare as rocking horse poo! And I need the head off one. :( As long as you were happy with what you got for it then its reet.

Was aimed at the ones slating him on the first page.

"Don't buy a 172, buy a corsa to crash instead"/"awaits a 172 crashed thread" blah blah blah

My point was that the OP said he was going too fast on a slippy road (ie saying it was his fault) and he still got derogatory comments.
