Crazy pops and bangs when cold

Not sure if it's anything to do with the fact my car is really lumpy below 3000 revs, but on start up from cold I get some crazy pops and bangs coming outa my exhaust at low revs like 2000 when I let off the throttle. It sounds pretty cool ha but can't be right.

It only does it for the first minute and then Sounds normal after but still runs crap until 3000.

Only mods are ktek cat back and decat, but it's done it since before I decat it

Dunno man.. our exige pops ALL the time like crazy if you over rev it and its hot.. it scares people walking past if you floor it because of stage 3 exhaust system

cant say about my 182 because it has a standard system

Mine does this as well. I put it down to water collecting around where the centre section should be.

It doesn't sound cool either, everyone thinks you're car is fucked.

Mine does it too, I admit I sometimes let it pop on purpose purely to woo the chav *****s what congreate at the end of my street.

Mine pops and bangs to, hot and cold it will do it. Sounds AWESOME!!

yeh i thought it might be something like that.

yeh haha, i got some strange looks today coming out of work in the downstairs carpark, the bangs were ecoing so loud around the car park lol.

mine does it usually on the fisrt time of starting it for the day. exactly the same as you, pops and bangs at low revs then its fine after 1min. i sometimes get the odd bang on overrun when up to temp

ah right thats good to know then. Just need to sort out my poor sub 3000rpm running problem now then.

what so the remap cured the poor running at low revs?

mine does this, cold start map will always overfuel so will always pop/bang as the extra fuel is burnt off
