How was this only 1 week ago and I still havent recovered or gone through all the go pro footage.. 230 miles on track ,80 litres of fuel used..just wow.. haha..Brilliant 👏 👏 👏, and Thank you again to all involved.

How can a brake pad not be road legal?
Surely if it stops the car and passes the MOT then it's fine, I've got PBS track pads on the Clio and they're like hitting brick wall even when cold, best brakes I've ever had.

It's not E1 or E4 rated
Parts manufacturer have to meet this standard or be an OEM copy

Also some are not type approved like TUV approval. Too expensive to get them approved so marked not for road use.

Ahem, I changed them before and after the track work.
EBC list brakes as being Reg 90 homologated for road use, these RP1s are not.
Yep, the wheel to hub face they masked, but the bolt seats got a good coating.

Not yet. I've got a couple of narrow drill brushes I can get in there so will give it a go next weekend.

Get a wheel bolt and cut some grooves in the taper part of the bolt. Put it in the wheel and spin the bolt up with a nut gun. That will remove powder coat effectively

Don't even need to cut a slit, a little dab of grease and some grit from the floor works wonders 😂

If you put the wheel bolt on the end of your peen after you’ve done it, that will also give you a hot tip. 😂

Wheel bolt with grooves in works great for removing powdercoat off the tapered seat. I have to do this every fooking time i get wheels refurbed.
Not sure if i drive hotter these days but every trackday ive done the wheels need retorquing quite often, had up to 1/4 of a turn on them mid morning and early afternoon at Anglesey.
