CTS Wiring Question (182) Pic Inside

Today's the first proper day having a look round the 182 since buying. It might be right but i thought i'd check but the Coolant Temp Sensor plug has 2 wires and what looks like a 3rd (green) but seems like it's been cut off... Is this right? I couldn't see a green wire further back on the loom.
