Mwahahahah!

My lass was driving our 172 the other day, and said "I really don't think I could go back to a lower powered car now..."

This is after two years of driving a 1.2 and being told: "We don't need a more powerful car, it's pointless"

:D

so... what's the plan?

I drive several cars yesterday, mainly 1.8 lagunas and mondeos and even though they still had the CCs, the power was just non existant! I could never go backwards in power either!

The exact same thing has happened to my missus, shes driven 1.1 fiestas etc, all of her life and now after the 182 has also said how much she enjoys the power and could never go back to having a lesser powerd car!
Were getting a Megane R26 in July.

I let my ex drive my old 172 and she loved it compared to her 1.1 fiesta. The clutch smelt like it was on fire though :S lucky I traded the car in the week after lol

I had a 1.1 seicento when I drove my bf's 172 and my brothers 182! I loved it so when I changed my job I upgraded straight away :)

I think I let my boyfriend off lightly then! he convinced me to change from a c2 vtr to our 182, not that I don't love the 182, but I thought at the time the C2 was fast enough!...how wrong was I!?

Opposite for mine.

I bought the clio after an mx5 because I didnt want a drop in power. My gf loved it and drove it back and forth to work for a year clocking up 18k untill I bought her a Ford Ka 1.3.
At first she wasnt keen on the reduced power of the Ka but now thinks paying more on fuel, tax, insurance and the effect on the environment from a more powerful car is a complete waste and that powerful cars (anything more powerful than a Ka) are dangerous, she probably has a point but I love bigger engined cars (by that I mean big american v8's).

I'd be happy to go back to a less powerful car but maybe something nice and torquey (diesel turbo) so more relaxing to drive.

I rarely give it beans in the 172 and when I decide to the roads are almost always clogged up with people driving at 30 in the 60 zone

Screw the planet, damage is too far done to do anything about it!

Doesnt matter if car tax is £210 or £2100, London will end up underwater and the chinese will invade Africa

Nah London, parts of wales and then places in East Anglia i think (or so according to my uncle who happens to be an inorganic Scientist) Very intresting to hear the truths of the universe from someone who actualy knows rather than some pricck politician who thinks raising car tax is going to save the planet!

Surprised no-one's cottoned onto the fact that buying higher ground is probably a REALLY safe long term investment...
