CUP Brake Limiter Valve

A topic much talked about a few weeks ago. Had mine checked as my rear brake discs had almost as much wear as the fronts (9200 miles now) and a few scary moments when having to brake on corners as the rear end didnt feel quite right. Checked operation as in previous posts (gently press brake pedal and listen for clunk from rear brakes) and mine was the same. Took it to Reno who said they have heard nothing of the problem and would check my car since I insisted it wasnt right and guess what ? I have a pipe missing on the limiter valve and my brake3s are operating 50/50. They have ordered a new limiter valve and agree it is a safety issue.

Its somewhere in the brake circuit between the front & Rear Wheels. Not sure exactly where but if you get it up on ramps im sure you will be able to identify it.

Test the brakes while stationary by pressing very gently on the pedal and release it quickly. If you hear a clunk from the back when you release the pedal it is probably best you get it checked out as it is a seriuos safety issue (do not take it on the track)
