Cup Font

Any typographers here able to hazard a decent guess which font is used for the "Cup" logo on the door frames of the 172 Cup?

I doubt it's a widely used font, it's much more likely that it was created in-house by Renault as I know we make our own fonts at the car manufacturer I work for. What are you trying to do? Do you need the rest of the alphabet or just the C, U and P?

I'm looking at manufacturing some custom wheel centres with the cup logo moulded into them. I really only need the 3 letters but, by extension, I need the whole font I guess. I have access to the RENAULT font, as was used in the old F1 logo, but it doesn't appear to be based on that.

I wouldn't say you need the wohle font at all. You could get a decent photo of the badge head on, and draw a path around it in your preferred graphics package and export to a file format to suit who ever is making them for you. That's what I would do anway, as getting hold of that font would be almost impossible. Who's to say it even exists, there are only 3 characters written in that font - C, U and P.

I got my friend who's a graphic designer to copy the cup 172 logo so I could have some stickers made for my door pillars.
