CUP Hesitation@ 2000rpm

  Cup 172

I dont know whether its just me being fussy but on colder mornings when the car is first started and idles approx 1500rpm the car seems fine and the power delivery is smooth. However, after a short run (6 miles/15 mins) and a couple of hours later, when I start the car for the second time it seems reluctant to rev around the 2000rpm mark and the throttle seems a bit sticky. Has anyone else experienced this? After a couple of minutes it is fine, I thought it might have something to do with an automatic choke setting that is getting confused and is butting in when not required or vice versa.

there is no choke, its a FBW throttle and the ECU controls its openings inline with what the driver commands.
