Cup Lower Arms on FF 172

  Clio 172
Hi all,

I am getting new Lower control arms and Track rods & Ends for my FF Clio 172.
I have been informed that part number - 8200257956/7 is the newer 172/182 Cup Control Arms with extra Castor.

My car is a 2002 model so i assume it has the old Lower Spec Castor Arms.
I believe they are oart number -
6000073512

If this is correct can someone tell me if i need different Inner Track Rods than standard ones with the newer control arms?
I just do not want to order the wrong Track rods if i get different arms.

Any Help Much appreciated!!!

No basically, your tie rods and track rods will stay the same.

As for part numbers I'm not sure, I would contact Adam @ Wolverhampton Renault as he is the most reliable source and the cheapest too. Their in the trader section and know exactly what cup arms are.

Ive done it on a few earlier cars now, both ph1 and ph2, and never needed to change the tie rods.

I believe the cup subframe has the lower arm mounted slightly further out which is what requires the longer tie rods, but I havent yet tested the theory.

I've got the later model wishbones on my 172 dweezle and they were a straight fit - just got a bit of rubbing on the liner afterwards but I'm running Konis/sportlines and 205/45/16's...

Guys, seriously THANKYOU!!!

Will continue with my order of the new arms.
I am running new OEM shocks and standard 15" wheels so I am hoping rubbing will be a non issue.
