Cup Spoiler

My original carbon cup cpiler tips recently got some clear coat damage courtesy of Renault Birmingham, who refused to accept responsibility for the damage, but then they also said that wheel refurbs with upto 10 runs in the finish per wheel was a satisfactory finish...

So anyway, after a long fight with Renault Birmingham and a lot of discussion with Renault UK, Renault Uk have decided to give me 4 new wheels and paid for me to have some new spoiler tips from K-tec.

Off with the old:

These couple of pics are for Brown Bear and anyone else that is thinking about the 'smoothed' cup spoiler look:

I have also now done a repair to the original spoiler tips which will be for sale, though I do already have somebody interested in buying them.

Looks alot beta fella,
Why did you get new wheels anyhow, and what you mean in ur sentance up to ten runs, pm me if you like
j

Veinast - oem ones are plastic, the cf ones ive taken off were made elsewhere.

Impey - Wheels were refurbed due to blemishing in the original finish. I meant one wheel had ten paint runs, the others all had some to but not as many.

Rob: I was hping the weather would be a bit nicer today so I could give both the cars a quick clean and park them out the back for some photos, instead though its chucking it down that much, and winds that strong my road looks like a stormy North Sea!

Curley: Its Renault Birmingham, any thing is possible! I was also told with the upmost certainty that they never, under any circumstances, wash RenaultSport cars because they know the owners are so 'picky' about cleaning them, so they couldnt have damaged them while cleaning. I then asked how my car came back white when it went in grey? I think it was a case of getting too close with a pressure washer.

They always clean them, even when asked not too. I know it's a trek for you, but Renault Worcester are fantastic to deal with, even the service dept. I think Sutton park are also meant to be decent.

TBH I am about half way between Renault Worcester and Renault Birmingham. If I could get the right money for mine in p/ex then pretty convinced it would be going, but I cant, so its not, lol. Needs to go in the next 10 months though.

Can you not get a decent private sale?

I could, but:

- I have finance on it

- Its the only car Sarah is insured on and so cant sell it first and then wait for a new one

- Cant afford to order the new one and then sell this one, especially with the possibility of having to take a low offer just to get it sold.
