cup wants 182 power

ive read a few reports on the new clio 182 and they say the difference from the 172 is manifold, modified cat, different injectors, modified crank? is this right and if so can you buy the parts and fit them to a cup/172?? how much and who supplies them? hill power?

maybe the title should read "172 wants 182 power"! same bloody car! lol

and for the amount of money ur gonna spend on buying those parts + labour... 10BHP will seem a waste of money, spend a few hundred ona 100BHP nos kit and that will be worth it

No...

The 182 already has a low cell count cat (like the KTEC jobbie) and a revised exhaust system, so there aint much more to gain.

its the same engine in 182, higher output is got from breathing mods as far as I know so any changes on the 182 from standard spec will get less results. Itll be iontresting to get some modded ones on the rollers.

We will have the first test with the new Cliocup racers on the track. Currently VERY busy in updating the front- and backside of the clio´s they all have to have the 2004 look. Even we now have different backside with double exhaust. The engines ALL are back and they changed ONE !! part (inlet) we also have all new Magnetti Marelli ecu´s. Special header sort of Y (first impression) racecat (we already had) and twin exhaust. I read on the tag the engine-ecu-exhaust mod. will go from 185 Bhp last year to between 195 and 200 horses Renault claim. Next week all cars will go on the rollers so I will inform you all what the outcome is.
