Cup Weight Saving

Re: cup weight saveing

There is also the shielded plate above the driver (where a sunroof would be) that shields the driver from the radio ariel? or stops car interference with the radio ariel.

That is about 5 KG.

I know what the tar stuff is...you're saying you took a load off of your Cup, from under the carpets?

Mine never had any fitted...

No not tar stuff as my cup don't have it either. look behind the pedals - remove that soundproofing, ( brown stuff) it's quite heavy. there was similar stuff in the front footwells too

Re: cup weight saveing

Does that mean that every Cup owner is on a strict diet of Ryvita and Special K with skimmed milk?

I obviously prefer a few extras on my car and don't do track days so i wouldn't understand but to me removing things like the rear wiper motor and fog lights just seems a little extreme when you have to use the car everyday too.

Do you all keep the washer reservoir empty, the oil and power steering fluid on minimum, the fuel on the red light and have a cr*p before you get on the track too?

TBF most cup drivers ive seen in real life have been fat b******s lol

Re: cup weight saveing

So in theory, bare with me lol, i have the turini's, plan to remove the sound deadning & spare wheel & tool kit to replacd with a can of tyre weld in the event of one of the family to come pick me up the spare wheel from the shed if it can not be repaired i should see around 40-50kg of weight gone?

Hmmm then lighter seats.. gotta keep the air con & xenons, yes i'm a tart before any one says FF's are for girls :rasp:

Also whats the deal with light weight batterys, heard you can pick up daily road use ones that weigh under 10kgs compared to the 20+ standard weight?

Anybody on the daily use lightweight batteries ?

^^ yep , and even when it gets foggy, best is to drive with less light because you see more. Light only reflects on the fog ; blocking your view .

The lights are for your fellow road user so they see you i'm guessing, no other use i can think of..
